Ministries are the ways we help tell the world God is present, here and now.
They are unique expressions of our community. We make lifelong friendships, share our faith, and discover what living as a child of God can be through our call to ministry. We love what we do, and do what we love. It’s powerful and life changing stuff.
We can’t do everything the world might need. We are inspired by the vision that anything we undertake as the people of God should be sustainable, accessible to all, and be spiritually vibrant. We trust that God has a mission for everyone. We share ministry with the world.
Sustainable - Ministry is not a solo adventure. Jesus never sent anyone out to do something alone. People and resources that regenerate and renew make ministries more than just a whim, or an idea. We empower people who can share leadership, share experience, teach others, and discover their ministry from their passion in life.
Accessible - Ministry is a who, what, when, where and how proposition. God has gifted each person with unique abilities and talents. St. Paul talks about it in scripture as the many parts of the body working together, different and vitally important. We strive to make our ministries the open expression of these amazing gifts.
Spiritually Vibrant - Ministry feeds the spirit. When our lives become over extended the stressors of overcommitment begin to consume us. Ministry, while it can be demanding and difficult because it often challenges us into new ways of living, needs to also fill us up, not drain us. God is about the work of recreating us.
